New term.

New members in the lab

After a year of being alone in the lab space, now very much welcome new members: Wang, PhD student, Yoon and Jung, undergrad thesis project students, and Dr. Jang, research professor who have recently joined the Geoecology lab, Yonsei University.

Soil science class

This term I am teaching a soil science class, after wetland science (2022-2) and introductory paleobiology (2023-1). I might feel a little confused about my research identity as a hope-to-be Quaternary paleoecologist (may I?), but still believe everything is relevant in the Earth System science realm.

INQUA Roma 2023 July

The Mammoth celebrating the INQUA-ROMA

Attended the 2023 International Union for Quaternary Research (INQUA) Congress in Rome, Italy, during the pick of heat wave (42 degree Celsius!). Regardless of the hot weather, still my favorite conference to attend, so friendly, too many interesting studies to learn about… looking forward to the next congress in Lucknow, India in 2027.
